_________________________________________________________________________________ HOLIDAY CLUB 2008CHAMPION'S CHALLENGEOn your marks........................... Get set............................... GO!Preparations have begun for Holiday Club 2008. Taking place in St John's Church Hall, the club will run from 4th - 8th August from 9.30am - 12noon. There is no entry fee but we do invite families to make a donation. Champion's Challenge, as its name suggests, has a sporty theme and is based on Luke's Gospel. During the week we'll be using many different sporting roles to focus on events from Jesus' life, death and resurrection. There will be the usual mix of songs, stories, games, crafts, drama and puzzles and we hope the children will really get in the spirit by coming dressed as their sporting heroes! The Annual Barbecue will be on Friday the 8th and a joint family service at St John's on Sunday the 10th will round it all off. The club is open to all Primary School children but pre-registration is recommended and the usual invitations and registration forms will be sent to all the local schools. Forms will also be available in both churches or from The Lighthouse in the Bonnygate, Cupar. Last year we had yet another wonderful team of helpers and we hope as many as possible will return to take up the Champion's Challenge. There are lots of ways to help and each one is essential to the smooth running of the club. New faces are always guaranteed a friendly welcome - so why not give it a try? Give me a ring on 656379 or email me at themore@themerrier.freeserve.co.uk if you'd like some more information. Preparation meetings for all helpers are at 8pm in St John's Church Hall on, Wednesday 2nd July and Thursday 31st July It's sure to be another action-packed week of mayhem again this year so... "Come on you Champions!"__________________________________________________________________________ |
